NUEVOFEST @ UNDERGROUND ARTS – PHILADELPHIA – SUNDAY JULY 13TH

AfroLatino

Nuevofest @ Undergound Arts in Philadelphia, this Sunday, July 13th will give you the opportunity to see, hear, and feel what Latin Altenative Music is all about, don’t miss this special yearly event. Also check out AfroLatino.com for more info and coming special events.

Multi-genre Latin alternative music world takes possession on the 2nd Sunday of July. We are talking about NUEVOFEST, the concert showcase dedicated to celebrating the new sounds of Latin America. New artists, genres, and even some not-so-new acts with lots of new music to share come from all over to rock the Philly massive. Electro-bounce, rootsy folk-rock, intelligent hiphop, emotion-stirring goth-soul, and dubbed-out reggae are just some of the sounds to expect this year.

This year’s lineup features bands who have never played Philly, so you’ll get to see acts like Cuñao (Los Angeles), Olmeca (Las Vegas), Laguna Pai (Peru), and Antidoping (Mexico) for the very first time! Also performing: Austin, TX bicultural diva Gina Chavez; Boricua neo-goth-pop phenom (also Rasputina member) Daniel de Jesus; and the sickest, WTF-induced tribal-glitch-cumbia-bass beats of DJ Precolumbian will keep the delirium at a fever pitch throughout the night.

Everyone gets a chance to check out the merchandise tables too. For those like hold no fear, we encourage you to spend some time with the Dia de Los Muertos-themed body painting nook with Nature’s Canvas. It’s all going down at the deep, dark & fun-as-hell poly-art-space Underground Arts, which was voted “Philly’s Best New Venue” in 2013 (most likely for the flawless sound system, experimental atmosphere, and adventurous beer menu.) Don’t deny yourself from all this fun! Get your tickets now online at www.undergroundarts.org!
